My new EP, Under the Whale’s Tongue, is so near I can feel its hot breath on my neck, much like a velociraptor, Unlike a velociraptor, it is under 20 minutes long and includes a sample of a Cubee toy.
It’s been a log time coming. I first started tinkering with a few of the tracks nearly three years ago. Under 20-minutes of music in three years. I can’t really tell if I’m a perfectionist or just really quite lazy. A bit of both, perhaps. The first track, ‘Little Plankton’, took a fucking age to finish. Others took shape really quickly.
But I’ll write more in-depth about the tracks when it’s actually out there, and I’ll try not to be insufferably dull about it.
I have to stop being so lackadaisical about releases. If I can find a few remixers, I want to make a short remix EP featuring a song which I made and like but didn’t fit on the Whale’s Tongue. I also want to make more mixes.
But one step at time, eh?
